SOOO Behind in my Scrapbooking=STRESS!!!

I am so very far behind in my scrapbooking that I am actually stressed about it! I absolutely LOVE to scrapbook (it's very therapeutic for me), and up until Little Bit was born, I kept up to date with what was going on in our lives. But once Little Bit came along, scrapbooking went by the wayside, and with each passing month I got more and more stressed about how far behind I was getting, so I didn't do any scrabooking b/c it was too overwhelming to think about as a new mom (I know, that doesn't make ANY sense whatsoever), but that just led to me getting further and further behind. Wanna know how far behind???

2010 COMPLETE!!!! I decided to dive into digital scrapbooking so I can get some pages done, and I finished a WHOLE YEAR'S SCRAPBOOK in 6 DAYS!!! However, I spent upwards of $350 getting the software, digital pages and embellishments, and getting the finished product printed, which was a huge hit to the budget. And while I'm not a HUGE fan of digital scrapbooking b/c I just really enjoy traditional scrapbooking and looking at a hand-made product, it did get 2010 finished! YEA!!!

OK, who just fell out of their chair???? I just broke out in a sweat! No lie!!!! So this will serve as my scrabooking "To-do" list. As I finish something I will cross it off! (Oh Lord, please let me get some finished!!!) I have decided that 2 days a week I am putting off chores around the house and I'm scrapbooking while the girls are napping, and at least one Saturday a month I am locking myself in my scrapbooking room and letting Jon have a daddy-daughter day. I have GOT to catch up b/c honestly, I am taking more pictures than I have time to scrapbook. (And yes, that is also stressing me out!) At this point I will have to pick and choose what goes in an album and what just stays on the computer for pleasure viewing.

Oh how I wish I had some friends up here who scrapbook! It's so much more fun with friends! But I have a feeling I'll get more done without anyone to distract me! lol

ABC Book

I was at a consignment sale recently, and bought an ABC album that already had the pages done, so all I had to do was plug in the pics. I LOVED this ideas so much that I bought it. I got busy taking pictures of the girls holding different items that started with each letter of the alphabet. When it was finished, the girls loved it so much that they fought over their "A, B, C, D" book all the time, so what did I do??? I made another one. :)

A is for Apple!
B is for Bubble Bath, Balls and Bows

C is for Cupcake, Candle, Cat and Computer
D is for Doll, Dog, and Daddy

E is for Elmo
F is for Family
G is for Grapes and Goat

H is for Horse and Hug
I is for Ice Cream
J is for Jack-in-the-Box

K is for Kitchen and Kiss
L is for Lemon, Lollipops and Leaves

O is for Olivia
P is for Pearls, Pots and Pans
Q is for Queen
R is for Rings

S is for Swing, Slide and Sisters
T is for Tigger and Tea for Two

U is for Upside Down
V is for Vacuum
W is for Watches, Wii, Wings and Wand

X is for Xylophone
Y is for Yell
Z is for Zebra

Directions:
1. Take pics of your kids holding items beginning with each letter of the alphabet
2. Grab your scrapbook supplies: sticker letters, paper, stickers of items beginning with different letters of alphabet, album (I used a Cre.a.tive Memo.or.ies 5x7 album)
3. Start putting pages together.

Fall

I'm tired of all this hot, humid weather, and I've been longing for my favorite season to arrive! I'm actually pretty excited about experiencing a "real" autumn now that we live further north. So in the anticipation of fall I'm showing you a few pages from my very favorite time of year.

One year I went to a feed store and got a hay bale to put on the porch. I got it in my Hon.da Civ.ic very easily, but getting it out was another story. It took me over an hour to get it out of the trunk, but once I did and I got it on the porch, I loved how it looked. But boy did I have a mess to clean up in my car! lol

I made this border at a CM crop.

This is my sweet little niece outside my mom's house. Mom goes all out with holiday decorations for fall, Halloween, Christmas, Valentines, Easter, etc... Guess she rubbed off on me. lol

Happy Birthday!!

This layout was a creation of 2 CM ideas. I got the border idea from the sticker package that I bought at a crop, and then the star idea came from a generic layout in a CM idea book.

The left page started with the border that I made at a CM crop. Then I made it a 2-page layout by adding the border on the right.

Another CM casing.

My niece had a "painting" party for her 2nd birthday. I found these stickers at Hobb.y Lob.by, and thought they were perfect for this layout.
